Das New English Orchestra (NEO) freut sich, Salzburg in diesem Sommer wieder zu besuchen und dabei ein weiteres Mal im Dom und  in der Stiftskirche St. Peter die innovativen „Recreatios“ durchzuführen. Diese waren im 2004 und 2005 wie auch im vergangenen Jahr ein richtiger Publikums-Magnet und werden auch in diesem Sommer für hiesige Einwohner genauso wie für Touristen einige Überraschungen in musikalischer und akustischer Hinsicht bieten. Insgesamt wird das NEO acht Auftritte haben, mit einer vielseitigen Auswahl an Repertoire aus dem klassischen und modernen Bereich, nämlich 5 „Recreatio“-Anlässe, 2 Abendmusiken in der wunderschönen St. Peter Stiftskirche und ein spezielles Konzert in der Großen Universitätsaula (gegenüber dem Festspielhaus)

Das New English Orchestra  hat sich auf geistliche Musik spezialisiert.  Es besteht aus hochqualifizierten Musikern, die sich klar zum christlichen Glauben (diverse Traditionen:  katholisch, reformiert, freikirchlich) bekennen. Das NEO ist seit 1976 regelmässig während der Salzburger Festspiele zu Gast in der Mozartstadt.

The New English Orchestra is delighted to be visiting Salzburg again this summer and to be holding its innovative Recreatio events in the Dom and St Peter’s Stiftskirche. These proved to be very popular in 2004 and 2005, and again last year, providing a wonderful surprise for many residents and visitors with the variety of music and effects.  We will be performing 8 times with a delightful array of classical and modern music including 5 Recreatios, 2 Abendmusik events in the beautiful St. Peter's Stiftskirche, and a special concert in the Grosse Universitätsaula (opposite the Festspielhaus)

The New English Orchestra specialises in spiritual music. It comprises high quality musicians, all of whom are Christians drawn from different traditions, and has been visiting the Salzburg Music Festival since 1976.
