This dramatic, varied, inspiring and hugely popular short musical
format provides an opportunity to rest and gain refreshment in our
increasingly busy world in the splendid surroundings of the church
of San Anastasia e Vicenzo opposite the Trevi Fountain. The
programme, which lasts around 30 minutes, will vary with each
performance but will contain a wide variety of music from amongst
the following pieces:

Duke Ellington – Psalm 150
Saint Saëns – The Swan
Handel – Let the Bright Seraphim
Telemann – Ouverture for Flute and Strings
Grieg – Varem
Handel – Messiah
Haydn – Creation
Telemann – Concerto for Trumpet in D
Vaughan Williams – O Taste and See

Gospel Music

The New English Orchestra, based in England and founded in 1976,
specialises in spiritual music and is noted for the variety and
creative nature of its performances. As well as frequent performances
throughout the United Kingdom, it is a regular visitor to Salzburg
during the music festival and has performed in Sweden, Russia,
Switzerland and Spain. It comprises high quality musicians, all of
whom are Christians drawn from different traditions.
